It's also worth reading the information on each page as you go — several steps offer choices that do the work custom wording is often reaching for, such as choosing alternates or dividing your residuary estate in the proportions you want.
One important caution: once your Will document is downloaded and printed, avoid writing extra wording or instructions onto it. Handwritten additions to a printed Will can create real problems, and in some situations may affect how the Will is read. If the document doesn't say what you want it to, update your online form and complete a new document instead.
If you need provisions that go beyond these structured options — for example, particular conditions on a gift, or a more complex arrangement — you may wish to consult an estate planning attorney in your state about whether a custom-drafted Will (one prepared specifically for your needs) would be a better fit.
