When you reach the children step in the My Family section, the on-screen instructions explain who to include. The platform asks you to list all of your own children — including adult children, and including any child you don't intend to leave anything to. Listing a child doesn't mean they'll inherit anything — it simply records that they exist.
If you're thinking about leaving a child little or nothing, it's worth knowing that some states place limits around disinheriting a child — particularly minor children. Because of this, leaving a child out of a Will doesn't always mean they're fully excluded, and how these protections work varies from state to state. You may wish to speak with an estate planning attorney in your state before completing your Will.
