How to select and edit people in the platform

When you add a person to your online form — a beneficiary, executor, or guardian, for example — their details are saved. They'll appear as an option at every relevant later step, so you never have to type their details twice.

To include someone in your Will document, you need to select them at the relevant step — a checkmark appears beside their name when they're selected. Anyone without a checkmark at a step won't appear in that section of your printed document.

To select a person: tap the checkbox beside their name so a checkmark appears. If the person you need isn't listed yet, use the Add button.

To remove a selection: tap the checkmark to clear it. If it's a step where only one person can be chosen, simply select the person you want instead.

To review or edit someone's details: tap the three-dot menu then the pencil icon beside their name, then check that everything is correct.

Two things to keep in mind: each person you add needs a unique name, and once your Will document is ready to download, read the whole document to confirm the right people appear in the right places — before you follow the signing instructions.

If you wish to delete a person completely from your form, see our guide article.
